Rev. Jonás Pérez, Missionary for Rowan County
Rev. Jonás Pérez was born and raised in the Andes, Venezuela.
Married to Ingrid Perez. They have three children, Abigail, David, and Judith. Rev. Pérez earned his undergraduate in Architecture in 1993 from the Universidad del Táchira in San Cristóbal, Venezuela.
The Perez family moved to North Carolina in 1996, following Jonas' vision for a better training as a Music minister, organist and youth leader. Adopted and supported by Parkwood Baptist Church, in Concord, where he was licensed in 1997, ordained in 1998. Rev. Pérez received his Master's in Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary at Wake Forest in 2001.
Rev. Pérez planted a bilingual church in Cabarrus County called First International Baptist or Iglesia Bautista Internacional de Concord. He also taught Spanish at Stanly Community College until 2008. He completed a Master's in Spanish Language and Culture in Salamanca Spain in 2006.
In September 2012 the Pérez family started a Spanish mission in Faith Baptist Church. He was also invited to teach Spanish in Rowan Cabarrus Community College as Adjunct Faculty in January 2013. He also teaches Spanish at Carolina Christian School in Locust since August 2012.
Rev. Pérez is concerned that every church member will be able to pray daily for a revival in the USA and all over the Americas. The need for prayer is for our local and State Government and the salvation of lost people. He stresses on every church and pastoral visit, that everyone should be able to clearly articulate a testimony and God's Salvation plan.
He wants to assist churches and pastors in outreach to their community, evangelism, mission to unreached groups within Rowan county and around the world.

Mrs. Darcell Mangan, Administrative Assistant
Born in Rowan County. Employed with Durafiber Technologies as Human Resources Generalist until they closed in September 2017. Has an Associate degree in Business from Rowan Cabarrus Community College. Married to Mike Mangan. She has one son and two grandchildren, a step-son and step-daughter, and a step-granddaughter. Darcell and Mike are members of Stallings Memorial Baptist Church where Darcell serves as Church Clerk and WMU Director. Darcell has been with the Rowan Southern Baptist Association as Administrative Assistant since September 2018.
